AMAZING!
First days, i didnt like that the Hotel was located not near the sea (seems i didnt look good), and even wanted to check out....yet day by day of staying i really loved the peace, nature, pool, food, wow! Local staff is a bit not nice, yet they are trying hard. Breakfast was my concern again at the first date, as it was not open kitchen, yet that approach the owners took is excellent, you eat daily diffirent breakfast, so tasty! You have your breakfast and immideatly can move to roof top pool (mountain view) really recommend this hotel!
Staff is a bit sad...not motivated.

A little taste of paradise!
Mantra Samui is special. The location is a real treat. Off the beaten track up in the hills. So you have the serenity and incredible views without the crazy of Mae Nam & surrounding area. Our Love Ocean Suite was to die for. A huge terrace with two sunbeds, then sliding doors in to the most enormous room with kingside bed, sofa, table & plenty of storage space. The most wonderful toiletries in the bathroom which meant my own lotions & potions are still safely tucked away! We loved it so much we’ve extended our stay TWICE! We will leave (eventually!!) but it won’t be easy. The restaurant & manager Mary runs a fantastic service with great chefs. You can have any kind of food from Thai to Western / American. We loved all the Thai options and in particular the gai green curry and gai satay with the most amazing dips. Freshly made to order overlooking the ocean washed down with the most delicious mojitos (thanks Prod!). I must also mention Dean who works here from the UK. Nothing is ever too much trouble. He only deals in solutions & recommending things to do & places to visit. Our daughter joined us half way through & got sunburnt on day one. He went & cut some aloe vera from his garden & brought it to her to help soothe the pain. Such a meaningful gesture. It’s not just the resort or hotel being great that makes a holiday, the staff are critical as they can make or break the experience. That’s not up for debate at Mantra as all the staff are fab!
